First destination is Takikawa, the place you should consider to stop because of beautiful canola flowers in May. Then drive to Daisetsuzan national. Sounkyo is a scenic, narrow gorge that is flanked by 100 meter high, forested cliffs. Ginga & Ryusei waterfalls and Mt. Kurodake cable car ride are 2 major tourist attractions.

After breakfast and check out, let’s go to Tulip Park in Kamiyubetsu and enjoy to see Pink Moss in Takinoue. Both two locations are fantastic, must be the highlight of this spring trip. Then go back to Asahikawa city, 2nd largest city. Asahiyama park is famous for SAKURA, full-bloomed maybe in mid-May.

More Asahikawa sightseeing such as Asahiyama zoo, Otokoyama sake factory, Ramen village etc.. Biei is about 40 min. distance. Blue pond, Shirahige falls, famous scenic road and hills make Biei very famous town in Japan.
