Taking a special train and visit the Kushiro Marsh, lake Mashu, see the drift ice on the coast
Experience a unique tour by enjoying the view of Kushiro marsh and the drift ice from the train window while tasting local famous ekiben-lunch. All passengers will be served local delicacies, so please enjoy the flavors of Hokkaido while interacting with the region and savoring your chartered train journey.

Please note that due to weather conditions, it may not be possible to see the drift ice
- This special train will run on 30th of JAN
- Meeting point is JR Kushiro station and final point is JR Abashiri station. We will arrange or advise a transportation before Kushiro and after Abashiri, if need.

A local guide will be with you
Taiwanese nature guide living in Shiretoko, Ms. LAN PING FANG will board the train and enjoy the journey while talking about the charms of Hokkaido.
She is also a drift ice walking guide, so
she will explain about drift ice while you look out over the Sea of Okhotsk.
Local specialty products will be for you on the train
- Local Sake “Fukushi” and Sake Cake which are made with Mashu underground water
- “Tancho tsuru no tamago” , a portion of the sales is used to help protect the red-crowned cranes at Tomakomai at Mashu
- Ekiben-box lunch, Butadon-pork on the rice bowl at Mashu
- Saketoba which is traditional Hokkaido preserved food made by fishermen in Shiretoko, as a snack
- Hokaja, seafood crackers manufactured at the site of the closed Hokuyo Elementary School from Koshimizu
